Are we gunna win?

Our advantage over the doggies is in the air.
With Staff, Hall & Knobel out, that advantage is mostly lost.
Dogs too skillful by 24 pts :'(

Interesting from the last nine games if we limited the doggies to 100 points or less we won (6 Times) - if they got to 101 or more they won (3 Times).

The best form of defence is attack - we must attack from the first bounce - right from the centre.

If stats are an indicator - and we all know that stats can be shaped in any way you want - we should account for the Doggies on Friday Night

Countering these stats are the ones that show the Tigers have a recent poor record in Friday night games!

Lastly what all these stats do not show is which team is on the up, which team is more advanced in their respective 5 year projects for a premiership, which team is match fit for round 1 of the season.

Crystal ball gazing - (wishful thinking) - Tigers to win with Coghlan and Tuck ruling the centre and Richo, Browny and P Bowden having a night out in the forward line.

Factually - do not know - to many unknowns - too close to call - bounce of the ball maybe...............

Just don't know about this one.

An excellent Barometer/Thermometer for how hot we are.

Are we gunna win?
Yes, we'll sh!t it in.  ;)

Focus on Positive Confidence - (It worked for our U14s.)

No reason why we can't,if they stick to Terry's team rules and use the 'Great Number 7' sparingly.

If we don't...its gonna be a depressing month.

I agree with craigs post earlier, the key will be the pressure our small fowards can apply to their runnin halfbacks. if we let Gilbee, mcmahon, griffen and co run freely from halfback we will be cut up.

We also need someone to stop Brad Johnson, a huge task for someone like raines, but what a conficence boost it would be for him. i think johnson will go foward and needs to kick 5 for them to win.

Again, foward line and midfield pressure are the keys to stopping a running brigade like the doggies.

I have a good feeling this week. and the doggies are midgets, no talls to stop our boys.

Tigers by 36pts

Richo 7 goals

nah dont think we will win.I usally look forward to the new season but this year im not i think it,s gonna be a tough year i hope im wrong. I just don't see where any MAJOR improvement will come from. Our forward line looks ok on paper but never seens to the way it should.I'll be just happy to see some of the kids step up this year.

Murphy will probably play forward and we will struggle to get a good match up. Newmo and Raines are too small. Chubba and Gas too slow. I reckon Murphy is almost the key to the game.

this game really is a toss of the coin. i think the difference may come down to whether or not tivendale plays.

richo does have a great record against the dogs but we need to hit him on the chest first...

I don't think we need any "major" improvements to beat the Doggies, I think we can. I can feel it (or anticipation?!) But given last seasons last quarter nail biters to the end, I don't think I can put up with another heart stopping last minute. But knowing the tigs, first match of the season, on a friday night stage...tivendale or no tivendale, still who knows "what could happen?"

Tigs by 7...who ever gets it out of the midfield and "does something useful with it" ...(deliberation does not count)...shall win. And that is hitting Richo on his tits. Spot on whoever said that before.
