All this talk about Pick 8 vs Pick 13. Higher picks do not always work out. Look over the past 7 years and pick 13 has produced better players overall than those gone at pick 8. Its all a guessing game.

Pick 8:

1999: Joel Corey Cats
2000: Daniel Motlop Roos
2001: James Bartel Geelong
2002: Luke Brennan Hawthorn
2003: Raf Clarke Saints
2004: John Meesen Adelaide
2005: JON Tigers

Pick 13:

1999: Robert Murphy Dogs
2000: Ash McGrath Lions
2001: Nick Del Santo St Kilda
2002: BYRON SCHAMMER Freo
2003: Brent Stanton essendon
2004: Matthew Bate Melbourne
2005: Shannon Hurn Eagles

Good point we are. Pick 1 is over rated as well, I'd rather have a much lower one. ::)

Good one smart arse. All im saying is that it all the luck of the trade. Who knows how good a player is going to turn out. All im pointing out is that over the past few years, very good players have been picked up with a later pick than those that have gone before them. In other words if we got Polak and pick 13 for pick 8, we could end up with a decent KPP and still get a good player with pick 13.

All will be revealed at the Social Club, Tue Nov 21 at 6.30pm (for the rookie club guys anyway).

Let's hope for Miller's sake it continues.
