Are you getting nervous????

This is the best time of the year I reckon - the pre-season cup and the first few rounds.

After that when the floggings start you just become numb. You then just want the season to finish and can't wait for the player trades and draft.

Hopefully things change.
 
The only time I've been nervous before a season was before 2002, when we'd just come off what was, by recent standards, a successful season. Supposedly good judges were bandying about predictions of another top-four finish, no trouble. An awful lot had gone right the previous year and I thought there was no way we'd get another dream run with injuries and fly under the radar again... I would have been happy with making the lower reaches of the eight. Of course, after making the night series grand final and belting Collingwood in the opening round, we all know how everything unravelled.

This season, like most others, there's anticipation but few nerves.

as the 2006 season draws closer i am getting very nervous.

i can't help but agree with Craig to a certain extent. i think we have a lot of talented kids, but we have a few kids on our list that didn't show any improvement in 2005.

and there is no doubt we have a bit of deadwood on our list that should be gone by now.

if you combine those 2 things it means we lack depth and we are stuffed if we have too many injuries. if you add our terrible draw to that equation it makes you even more pessimistic.

if we get the maximum out of our players, we would do very well to win 10 games this year.

Just wondering why we seem to be the only team with deadwood?
Surely there are players on all lists who aren't going to make it.

There are, Andy, but the darksiders think that we're the only team that purposefully goes out and recruits guys that they know will not make it.
