What was that!!   ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Just got back home from the dump. Waiting in the queue for nearly 40 minutes (got in at quarter time ::)).

Seriously that ground is a disgrace.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

and then I had the "pleasure" of watching one of the most inept, disgraceful, pathetic etc, etc performances from my beloved football team I have ever seen. And that's saying something considering some of the crap I've seen in my 26 yrs as a member.

I left the ground 10 mins into the last quarter (as most of the intelligent Tiger fans had also done), and walking away from the "dump", I seriously felt like throwing up.

No more needs to be said.

In the words of Derryn Hinch:

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.

Diggler,
I left at 3/4 time....and would have left earlier if my mate could keep up with the lagers....the bloody big girl! :hihi
Agree with ya mate.....most angry I have been at a game since...well...since the last loss... ;)....but nah, seriously, it was a debacle.
Too much stop/star/stop/start....and with Richo in the backline, we had no forward-line whatsoever! :'(
Really got a gripe with Wallace over that game....and he was lucky he ran up the race at 3/4 time, cause I was ready for a spray! ;D

Nah, I'm not at that stage that we should "be playing only the young kids"......to me, playing young kids now would just ruin them like we have the dozens of others we have had over the last 10-15 years or so! :-\

No...I...maybe I'm mad...still think we can do something this season with the team we have, but we have to settle the side a bit, and stop this "rotate every 2 seconds" bollocks i saw going on tonight.
can't expect a team to gel and 'be as one' if the coach continually changes it, and the positions.....how can the players get into any rhythm/routine/teamwork?

I'm sure our gameplan wasn't to do that, so why do it?

But I am not looking forward to the next 3 weeks! :-X

there is nothing wrong with  our structure. we just cant hit a target!

But who is the target mate?

Thats the problem...

Fans all around me yell out "kick the bloody thing"....but half the time, there is no-one to kick it to, to begin with, and the 'best option' is someone like Krak, running towards the boundary, with 2 Bulldogs on his tail...THAT is the problem.

its very hard to hit a target, if there is no target....or a very low percentage on at that...to kick to.

i can think of 25 occasions tonight when we simply missed the target by foot in what should be a regulation foot pass for an afl player. thta in itself means that the players are presenting regardless of position on the ground by we simply cant deliver. not every player can get a couple of metres on his opponent but have a look at the doggies delivery tonight to semi contested leads and that just proves my point

wallace said in his press confrence we were very inexperienced tonight with the retirements. of cambo, graham, and wait for it. drum roll.....hilton.
i,ve had a gutfull of this club .and their *smile* excuses and propaganda... they are the laughing stock of the afl full *smile*ing stop!

Missed the bit after the drum roll bhs

Not that much ancient, dead wood left now (other than the mandatory retirements of Chaff and Stafford). It will now be younger players to go - those who will never make the grade. Another year and another demonstration of low skills, endurance and a lack of competitiveness. Sad really, all the fans are just so desparate for any improvement and we end up in a turkey shoot. The doggies also got on with the stuffing, basting and roasting free of charge.

Oh well next week I suppose.

Fair call. I point you to the following article which gives me hope that Terry is on the right track:

The PRE echoes from last year's flogging by Geelong in the opener I expect will be very similar to the statements made this year after this game (disgraceful, shame, rebuilding phase, play the kids, burn Tivva at the stake (joke) etc etc etc). I am just really concerned about the very early signs, admittedly, of our competitiveness this year. Can't help but be worried after being flogged by Essendon and the Doggies that we are showing some really serious signs of weakness and a lack of ability relative to the rest of the comp, remembering that neither Essendon nor the doggies made the eight last year.
