Just a general note to all that the National U18 Championships begins this weekend,

Saturday June 24th/Sunday Jun 25th - Game 1 - I believe at Princes Park

Tuesday June 27th/Wednesday Jun 28th - Game 2 - Kardinia Park/Skilled Stadium

Saturday July 1/Sunday July 2 - Game 3 - Princes Park

Hope to see you there.

Some of the games are being shown on foxtel for those with pay tv and unable to get to the grounds.

Foxtel itinerary

Saturday 24th June 12.00pm

Northern Territory vs Queensland

( this is replayed at 4.30 am the next morning )

Saturday 24th June 2.30 pm

Tasmania vs NSW/ACT

( this is replayed at 7.00 am the next morning )

Sunday 25th June 12.00 pm

Vic Country vs Western Australia

( this is replayed at 8.30 pm that night )

Sunday 25th June 2.30 pm

Vic Metro vs South Australia

( this is replayed 11.00pm that night )

Key games IMHO involve Sth Australia and Western Australia

probably 70% of the players drafted in the top 10 and 20 may come from these states

Hope Foxtel do a better job than last year.
In 2005 they merely showed the first weekend, that was it.
Hopefully they'll show all 3 rounds this season.

I'll be watching via Foxtel. May even tape the games to pt in the vault and pull them out come draft time.

Might even get down ther Sunday. Great time of the year, hope the rain holds off.

As I have to pick 1 game I suppose I'd be better off choosing Vic metro V SA, waddya reckon Phant?

Personally, from what I've been told, Vic country v WA should be the one to watch.
That is, if I could only pick one.

I'd agree as that game will boast Hansen vs Gumbleton. It's a pity Tassie don't play the stronger teams so we could see Thorp and Reiwoldt take on some of these guys.

Yes. i did mention to Kevin Sheehan a few weeks back of a possibility of altering round 3 so that the top team in div2 swaps with the bottom team in div1. He quite liked the idea.
