PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

To fill the long dark football winter before the draft I did a quick 'back of the envelope' calculation of how the average age of our list has changed after the trade period.

WE delisted 7guys aged: [Using football prospectus ages which are dated but still work for this analysis]
25,30 26,21,28,26,24 – average age 25.7

And have added 7 guys aged:
23,19,23,20 and will probably add 3x17 year olds in the draft. – average age 19.9

Basically the net effect is even after the other 33 players on our list age a year the average age on our list will drop by about 0.2 in 2008.

Conclusion: Not all evidence support the theory (admittedly I am one of the ones who said it) that the club is going for the quick fix.

Maybe someone who has an up to date age database could do a exact calculation of what our average age if they have the time.
