Why was Foley taken off so much tonight?

Was it because he let Kerr blitz in the first 15 minutes?

Exactly, Axel didn't look happy on the sideline, it's like Plough was sending him a message, he didn't look injured finished the game off strongly but why wasn't he in the guts at the stage we were getting smashed in the clearances? This basically gave the Eagles there 20 point break.

Can anyone clear this up or was anything said post game?

Was almost KO at one stage.

From watching the replay today; it looks like Axel did get a knock on the head which left him looking groggy. I am not sure if Axel realized how bad he was and thats why he may have been trying to get back on the ground (pacing the boundary)? Happy to leave it up to the Dr. and happy TW didn't put him back in until the Dr. gave him the AOK... if that is how it happened. This is just my theory after watching the knock he got on the head and his reaction when on the side-lines.

Agree Flea - looked to me like precautions from the knock in the centre. Probably the reason why he went to the Forward pocket - to confirm that he was OK.

Midfield was getting smashed anyway - TW may have seen it as a chance to re-jig the setup - hence the extended period on the bench.

21 minute mark of the first - a Kane Johnson shin to the head at the centre bounce. It clearly disorientates him and takes a quarter or two to get over it.

I think its more a case of keeping those that dont deserve to be their because they fluked some form one year thats all.

Remember even Petts had a gun year once, but you wouldnt consider him worthy of an AA spot on that years form because it was a once off

If you are good enough in one year you should make AA, you can't fluke form across a whole year. By your logic Teasdale didn't deserve his Brownlow.

Teasdale didn't deserve a Brownlow just on that suit!
