What a game by Nathan Foley last night. Got home in time from the game to catch a replay.
To quote Bruce and Tim-if there were any doubts about his All Australian jumper before tonight then that performance had dispelt them. Watson called him a centre clearance genius or words to that effect.
Malthouse singled him out as having smashed his midfield. He went on to say and I quote"I think young Foley has become an exceptional player.It is a credit to him the way he has come through the rookie list to do what he has done."
It has been a LONG time since that sort of praise for a Richmond footballer has come from an opposition coach.
I cant believe I am saying this--- but I am very happy to (and with no reservations)) "Nathan Foley would sit very comfortable in a midfield along side the likes of Judd and Kerr"
