this blokes not a burst player, he gets the pill and is slow much like a scotty west from the doggies.

Big comparrison and hes only young but players who arent fast or electrifying should be able to stay on the field, plod along and do what they do best..

get kicks and hit the electrifying blokes chests

leave the fast bursts and eye catching highlights to the likes of bling and lids
Foleys not that slow

Axel will got Johnno's run with role and extended minutes. Expect him to take Stanton this week, perfect match for him. Stanton is there key receiver while McViegh while it pains me to say it because he is one of my most hated players is there clearance and hard at it player.

Axel is, I think, over the next month to six weeks is going to show his long term worth to the RFC and cement his spot on the list for the coming seasons.

Watch this space.

This guy looks the goods...Next P.Bell !!
go wash your mouth out. foley puts his head over the ball and never takes a dive when under pressure. peter bell is as soft as they come picks up 99% of his possewsions playing unaccountable footy. freo making him captain has still got me lmao.

Ironically, I'd say he was very much a hard at it shinboner until he started wearing the Freo colours claw...they brought it up during On The Couch as few weeks back as a matter of fact...must be whatever they're putting in the water over in WA? ;D

Very good analyse on Axle and who he'll pick up.

I reckon Axle is emerging as the next candidate to play tagging/run with roles, and a good replacement for Chaffey.

Reckon you're spot on the money there claw...Foley's a genuine rover/ball winner and they're much harder to find than decent taggers...plus he doesn't really have the ideal height, frame or pace for a tagging role.

I assure you, if you asked the coaching staff why he's not getting more game time, they'd tell you that 95% of kids his age just aren't up to more at this stage of their careers.

You forget a little hardnut called Libba - Rayzor, started as a rover/ ball winner and became a real obnoxious tagging mongrel. If Foliage's career goes as well as his you'll never hear a complaint from me.

Correct again Claw. welcome to the "Rightside" ;)

In all seriousness nice to see some quality kids come along. I think the balance from last week will be the same. Foley will play Johno's minutes and Polo will get Foley's usual time on ground. Young Jon will probably play the Rodan 40 -50 minutes off the bench role. Who knows though , he could pick up Lovett.

Been watching your boy Mcguane down at Coburg and he is coming along all right. Lovely leap, good hands and a nice attacking attitude in his game. May be a while before he debuts though as still very light and at this stage very easily muscled out in a shoulder to shoulder contest.

Limbach showing a bit but kicking a little bit askew - may just be a touch slow or short for a real KPP but he certainly thinks he is good enough (and I say that in a nice way)

Your other boy Moore however cant get on the park and may be in trouble year's end.

is axel eligable for the rising star this year?

Yes I think, only second year and had played 6 before this year. Tambling is not having played 12 last year.

Huge difference in physique though TM...Libba was short, but he was built like a brick s**thouse. I reckon whoever made the comparison of Foley with West was pretty much on the money...which is good news for us IMO...every side needs a bloke that just keeps on getting it week in week out.

Nothing flash, but no real clangers from what I've seen. Likes to run with it off half back so you will usually see a handball or a kick down the guts. Coburg now play a better style of game so there are usually lots of numbers downfield to recieve. Will have a close look at his kicking under pressure to see how he goes.
