For reasons that remain unknown
Our game's unduly error-prone
Causing chances to be blown
And Tiger fans to curse and moan
Though once again the season's flown
And we sit sixteenth on our own
We demand some courage shown
To honour Richo's milestone
 
The Son of Bull, once known as The Calf
Always gives 100%, never does things by halves
He’s given his heart for all of his 250 games
He’s always played with an intensity, that no coach could tame

The way he flies for a mark, you would think he’s Superman
But when he lines up for goal, he proves he’s human
With yellow and black coursing through his veins
His commitment to Richmond never once wanes

I wish we could see him play on that last day in September
That would be a day I will always remember
To me he would be Jesus, in everything but name
If he won the Grand Final with the last kick of the game

When he’s on the field he becomes a human highlight reel
Not afraid to hide his emotion; you always know just how he feels
Living so far from home my footy highlights comes from the radio.
When I listen to Rex, and he screams out “Richoooooooooooo!”
