PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

A good win but how good?
As much as I thought we were fantastic in the first half last night, the Bears were the polar opposite.
To put it bluntly they were pathetic and despite being undermanned it almost begs the question whether they tanked.

I don't think I've seen a more inept performance by a team(including us) in half a game all season.

Their skills levels were calamatous & they were unaccountable all over the ground.
I haven't seen our players get anything like the space we were afforded last night all year.
Little wonder our skills were outstanding. The first half resembled a training drill.

That's why I'm personally not getting too carried away with the performance. It's hard to gauge how good we actually were. Also given that our season is basically over, perhaps the Tigers through caution into the wind because the pressure was off. The last three weeks when the heat has been on, we've failed to meet the challenge.
In light of this weekends results and the fact that we still have a flicker of hope regarding finals, I think we'll have a far clearer indication of whether we are improving over the next fortnight.

It summed up the Bears night when three defenders collided in a simple marking contest to spoil each other. :rofl

Again as big a win as it was I'm keeping a lid on it as the Lions simply sucked.

How the mighty have fallen.
