Having a look at players list of each club and just seeing is there a player there we could get in trade for another player or late pick similar to how we got Patrick Bowden this year, that may need a home/environment and be a willing contributor to the Richmond cause and play approx 20 games and help fill a gap. Some names I liked are as follows:
Luke Jericho Adl 22 189cm 20 games nil this year
SA boy flashy forward probably not really get play key fwd but could be alternative goalkicker. Probably similar to Pettifer so not a need at the club but just thought his name there for thought.
Jared Brennan 22 192cm 38 games 17 this year.
Not a fan, played his best match in game 1 and also first round last year. Has brilliance so that is why I put his name but it is not often enough is injury prone and lazy. More a forward than back but can play either end and is skilled. Put his name here in case he wanted out of Brisbane and could play well at new club!!!
Jason Cloke 24 189cm 60 games 7this year.
Will know will be howled down for this one but put name forward as would be a late trade. Not as cocky as his brothers and possibly better temeprant. Needs a new home but is too small to play key defense and too slow to play loose compared to PBO. Similar to Kellaway and unlikely to get him if we are getting rid of AK for same reasons.
Brent Hall 21 198cm 1 game nil this year
Looks a man mountain recruited as tall back but saw him goals for Williamstown on TV one day and swapping in ruck. Is from WA and late pick, others may know more on him. No relation to Ray
Ryley Dunn 21 182 4 games nil the last two season
Has not played a game in two seasons due to shoulder injury, is contracted to 2008 but is a Victorian boy from Murray. Could be late swap as Freo unlikely to delist many and may need to get rid of 3 players somehow.
Charlie Gardiner 24 190cm 49 games
Played only 5 games this year, my thoughts are no as is a plodder but others may think different. Has not played since round 5
Henry Playfair 24 198 51 games
Good mark and presents well but does not get enough of the ball and does not kick goals. Has had a poor season due to injury not getting match fit and form. Has never played in backline.
Matthew Spencer 22 194 2 games
Mentioned him in an earlier post, WA boy who plays FB in reserves but played f/line in seniors. Will struggle to get ahead of Scarlett, Harley and Egan. Claw said he liked him as a junior.
Ryan Fergusson 25 195 39 games
Is injury prone but is a tall rebounding defender and can play on tall fwds (beat Richo in Wizard Cup match) Played 17 games in 03, 0 in 04 due to injury, 19 last year but only 3 this year to injury. May now struggle as behind Carroll, Rivers, Miller and Smith.
Paul Wheatley 26 189 99 games
Another struggled with injury but did return and get omitted after round 18. Is a running half back who is a long kick who could pinch hit at CHB. Likes a bet.
Luke Vogels 23 194cm 15 games
Victorian Boy who plays CHF behind Hall, O'Keefe, Grundy at moment. Only 2nd year in AFL after waiting a while to get drafted. Strong boned tall who may come back to Victoria.
Andrew McDougall 23, 197 30 games approx
Is out of favour at West Coast playing only one game before being dropped (had 15touches 1 goal) Can play tall fwd/ruck was a no 5 pick in 02 draft. Only 4 games last year and behind Lynch, Seaby, Staker, LeCras. Apart from form dont know why overlooked may need a new environment.
