With the suposed weak draft, selecting somone at 50-60 could be just as good as at 8. Saying that though, I would only be willing to trade 2nd round pick+ krak/roach. That could get it done, but not if we throw in Chipindale, chaffey etc.

Jimmy has told geelong that he will sign up unless a trade can be made to richmond.

Aparently Geelong have not discussed this with richmond as yet.

This is great news and I think with a bit of manipulation we could pull it off.What if the club goes to say Cogs, Tucky, Bartells and one or two others and offers them $300,000 over 3 years.They (not RFC),then form a partnership agreement allowing for the division of their income over the period with say Jimmy taking home $700,000 in the FIRST YEAR. He then nominates for the preseason draft at $700 and falls through to us. :rofl

Whats so funny? I know the Cats took Otto off us for two first round picks but mate they are not stupid enough to take a second round pick + krak or roach for Bartel

Unlike some on this page i seldom have "Inside information" I actually got this from my sister in law who is very closely related to Jimmy's family.

Jimmy is a long time richmond supporter, (not unlike Harris at the kangas and Mcconnell at Westcoast) but like Johnno he has always wanted to play for the tigers.

There is not much doubt he will sign with geelong, but if he could first preference would be to play for the tigers. His dad played for richmond for those that did not know...

Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood have all had lengthy discussions with his management..
