Heartiest congratulations to Beau Muston & the HFC that took a big risk when drafting & sticking with him.

I was fortunate enough to see Beau play in that early part of TAC season 2005.
He tore the game apart.
Unfortunately, in about R6 of that year, he wrecked his knee.
Fit, he would have been a top 5 pick.
The Hawks took a risk by taking him in the 20s.
After being drafted, Muston did his knee another 2 times.

Personally, I thought I'd never see Muston play AFL.
Congratulations to both he & the HFC.

Yeah Beau's debut and injury history was discussed here over the weekend.

According to his Dad the second reconstruction wasn't due to him doing his knee, but rather the graft from his original reco hadn't taken successfully and it had to be re-done.

Watched a bit of the game last night....quote from Gerard Healy after he had a few long shots at goal.

"You can see why the Hawks love Beau Muston. He's got penetration and length."

A fantastic story of perseverance, good on the kid. Listened to the game on the way back from watching Coburg at Bendigo, certainly had a fantastic first game.

This is such a good news story. Hawthorn have to be congratulated. They've put a bit of faith in his potential and hopefully they'll be paid back for years to come (just go a bit easy on us, Beau). At least Richmond knew what Cogs could do. Hope the kid has a great career.

Wow things are bad down here when we praise other teams. Well done to the kid but to be honest unless he plays in a Richmond jersey then I couldnt give 2 hoots about him.....just rubs salt into the Tiges Vs Hawks wounds, they can stand by players for 3.5 years and still get them to come up.

Muston is a risk that payed off.

He looks like, if his body holds up he will give the Hawks something that they really lack.

It would be nice to have a few Muston types floating around our 2's. ::)
