PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Benny was one of my favourite players and I'm absolutely delighted for him to be back at the club in an official capacity. Rather than all the bagging that's going on lately it would be fun to hear some Benny stories. I'd love to be reminded why I loved him so much as a player.

I remember him as a player who saved the day when needed. An uncanny ability to drop back and take match saving marks.

I remember him being a one-eyed Tiger...due to his wayward contact lenses going missing in games.

I'll have to watch the video to check this one but I think it was Benny who marked on the goal line and tried to handball it over Sos's head to Richo at the OO one day. (The day we came from behind to shut the Blooze up and end their finals hopes)

Not sure if Benny had a testimonial but I recall there was to be a sausage sizzle to bid him farewell but it was disappointingly canceled. Maybe grass roots supporters can welcome Benny and our new coach at a Punt Road barbie.

Any memories to share?
