Can anyone remember the eagles drafting a player in 2004 or 2005 from Victoria, i remember reading an article about this young player who barracks for Richmond and was hoping to get picked up by Richmond but ended up being picked up by the eagles...
Rosa,McKinley or Spangher are Vics in those drafts

Must be Spangher because McKinley was a Bummers fan IIRC.

Who do you think is the best draft pick so far?

I reckon this guy Rodan did alright :clap

Well done chickenspin (what a name... ;D) wanted to make a comment on Rodan. Was the difference today in that game. Liked his contested marking in the forward 50 in the final quarter - I think Port might have a genuine KPP there! Aren't we looking for strong marking forwards? :hihi.

On a more serious level for a second. It can often take 2 years for a player to come back to form from a bad knee. Rodan was flogged on this forum incessantly last year. Did we drop him too quickly. Naturally one game a season does not make but on today's effort he will certainly hold his spot in the Port side. Another issue I suppose for Richmond - we have a much weaker midfield than Port - that might make it easier for Rodan and more difficult for the opposition to keep a lid on all players including Rodan. I must admit I genuinely wanted Rodan to succeed at Richmond. Oh well maybe I will get to watch him succeed at Port. I'll be watching with interest to see how he goes.
