I know it's only February but it looks like the best we can hope for will be...

Securing the rights to Nicholas Natanui and Daniel Rich ;D

amen

Whilst throwing my remote control at the TV, watching another insipid Tiger performance, it bounces back and hits me fair in the temple knocking me out and putting me in a coma for an entire year.

Only to awaken ready for a different team in 2009.

Nah wouldn't miss the lows for anything in the world.

If we get a priority pick, but Carltank win less than 4 games do they get a priority/priority or because we ended up wooden spooners last year does our priority trump their priority/priority? ??? ???

Good question 08, knowing our luck Carltank will get 1st pick ::)

yes it does we trump their's if we both happen to win less than 4.5 games, confirmed in the herald sun earlier on in the week.

P08, i cant fathom another year like the last, heart breaking stuff i hope by the time RD 1 comes along we have somewhat fine tuned that well oiled machine that looked half empty last nite :hihi....Ahh the power of being positive...

Best case scenario......hmmmmmmmm
1. Wallace walks out on his contract
2. Someone throws out the sentimental garbage and makes the tough calls
3. Retirements....saves being told to leave eh Richo, Bowden and Johnno
4. The passengers show why they are being paid squillions
5. Someone says "Sorry" to us for 26 years of ineptitude.

I'd stand and applaud KB for saying sorry for all the past coaches
but I'd turn my back on TW when it was his turn :)

Best case scenario is that all the kids are well coached and we find general mprovement across the board.

Draft picks dont necessarily turn into champions and to hope that we do poorly this year so we will pick up the next big name recruit is pure folly. Geelong has a knack of improving all players on their list. No-names like Matthew Egan become All Australian CHB's.

Cultural change comes with discipline and hard at it toughnuts. We need about six Jake King types in the side, players who have mongrel. That's how we used to do it. And the formula still applies in recent years.

Collingwood, as much as we hate them were able to field even teams. North Melbourne are the benchmark in this respect.

We decide to adopt a game plan that doesn't rely upon short kicking with players who can't deliver.

Instead we go longer, more direct, often to contests and put an emphasis on getting numbers to the fall of the ball. This is supported by intensity at the contest, fierce tackling and 100% desperation.

Players that have proven they are not up to AFL standard like Hyde, Tivendale, etc make way for younger players to see who can cut it.

Small or weak bodied players who can't handle the above style do not play until they have the physical attributes.

The above may also require a change in coaching direction (and staff?) to make it happen.

If tivendale wwas surrounded by packbreakers like david cloke or francis bourke he would be a ripper.
