I think he's brought a lot of smiles to a lot of faces.

Why comment on KB's age or his looks?

Saw 3 photos in the papers and he looked fine to me - and I've spent the past 6 months looking at how he was 40 years ago.

Guess there are some who like a little dig at a legend.

My only query in regard to Gary stating that our Club will not accept mediocrity in 2008 is ...

Why are we so prepared to tolerate it in 2007?

Surely there must be some accountability for season 2007.
yep typical rfc spin. surely he knows another low finish is very much on the cards whats he going to say then.
gary a word of advice. actions speak louder than words and usually achieves much more.
i have no problem with march saying we won`t accept mediocrity as long as he`s prepared to stand by his words if we have another shocker next year.

we don`t know if any players will be held accountable for our atrocious 2007 yet,any delistings won`t be until draft time.
but IMO you can`t let a season like this go without making some experienced players pay. players like tuck and johnson should axed.
2 experienced players who are meant to lead the way in the middle were terrible IMO.
tuck finishing 3rd in the B+F just highlights how bad we were this year.

congrats to richo,a most worthy winner of a medal named after jack dyer.
i thought foley should have got it but richo`s probably missed out a few times in the past when he deserved it.
i think lids might take home jack next year,i reckon he`s going to take the competition by the balls next year.

He seemed to enjoy it alot.
It was nice to spend time with Tom Hafey, Francis Bourke, and Michael Roach.

We were particularly impressed at the video footage used during the night, especially the Richo one at the end- wonderful.

Not only that, it was very nice of some of the players to come up and introduce themselves to Dad and the family. From memory, people like Richardson, Bowden, Pettifer, Foley, Hartigan took time out to introduce themselves.

Rhett.

Rhett is their any chance of Kev lining up for our PRE team to play Saintsational? We're a tad short on numbers.

No date yet Rhett. There's a thread about it but we've only got a few takers so far. We've already signed you up. ;D

i sure do apologise... i was dying for a pic with him and i swear i looked EVERYWHERE!!! dammit dammit :)

I cannot accept that the so called "majority" are pleased with Richo winning the 2007 (Wooden Spoon year) B&F !.

The fact that Foley lost is a bloody tragedy.

Get stuffed to all those who were party to voting for the RFC B&F 2007, you have made it a truly dissapointing end result.

Richo knows he is a good "clubman", but B&F for 2007 is a very big other deal. Even "he" said he was "surprised".

To Richo:

I watched you as a "pup" and was inspired by your erratic courage. I say to you, pass on the mantle and use your "presence" at RFC to build a genuine "commitment" to the "Yellow & Black". You will never be doubted for your desire to make RFC great, so please, and I mean please "make sure every RFC player from here on in does everything they can to get us back to dominant AFL ranks".

I could give 2 stuffs other than "needing" to feel the same excitement I did in the 1980 GF !

Whilst I thought Foley was our best player this year I can't begrudge Richo the win. Maybe it makes up for the two he definitely should have won (1996 and 1999) and the third he probably should have won (2001).

Well done Mad Cow!!

And I applaud March for publicly putting the acid on the playing group. No doubt it should be on key off field staff as well (Wallace and Miller in particular) but for too long the playing list at RFC has gotten away with being shithouse. Hopefully March is a man of his word.

I'd be equally happy with whoever took Jack home. The coaches are in a slightly more privileged position than me to know how each player performed, how their opponent performed, and if they followed instructions.

Nathan was extremely good this year and I take nothing away from him but he lowered his colours a couple of times, albeit to very top class players. I asked on here throughout the season who Nathan's opponent was and nobody was usually able to tell me. The point is we can see the flashy things and the number of possessions for our team but we don't always know the other side of it, in how their opposing player helped the other team.

I don't mean that as an insult to Nathan, I love the way he goes about his footy, but I'm happy to accept the results of those who voted. Pity it wasn't a draw but with only 1 point in it the powers to be could hardly split Axle and Richo themselves so how could we know better.

Talk is cheap.

Where are these recruiting depatment appointments, that were muted months ago.Are we even going to make any?

It's all very well bagging the players, how about trying to find better young players like the other clubs do.

I have said before on PRE "bless you Rosy". The beauty of the PRE you have created is the ability to share perspectives.

I would rather see in this year "absolute support" for a brilliant young man in Nathan Foley to ensure with maximum avoidance that he would be discouraged by the end result.

Foley means more to RFC's future than does Richo. That is a an undeniable fact.

Nathan Foley you deserved the 2007 Jack Dyer Medal more than anyone else ............. "much" more than anyone else ...... period !

I can only hope you take this all as positive motivation to make impact on 2008 & beyond. The comments from opposition supporters about "who IS THAT guy" has been more than anyone I have seen at RFC for many a year.

Don't disagree bevo and hopefully those appointments do come. It will be disappointing if they don't. But the players have been getting away with it for too long and need to cop it. Never hurt David Pittman.

You obviously don't have as high an opinion of him as you claim if you think he'd get discouraged because he missed out on an individual honour by a bee's *smile*.If he did then he's not the sort of player you'd want in a team.

Yep it would be boring if we all agreed and I don't disagree with anything you say about Nathan, in fact I've just e-mailed someone very close to him to say as much myself. Nothing will alter the fact that as exciting as Axle is and how much faith he gives us long suffering fans for the future, Matty won fair and square albeit by the smallest possible margin. I can't buy into the tampering talk, if that was the case surely they would have made it a draw.
