Yes, that's right...beware the wounded Tiger!!

We will not be losing by157 points to Port Power on Saturday. The revitalised and revamped wounded Tigers will only lose by 140 points this time around. Quite an improvement on last Sunday, and the pundits will applaud the improved performance. Look for the nearest Herald Sun near you on Sunday.

Graystar get out of that dark closet and back out in the sunshine. 8) It's a hard ask this week, especially with 3 more injuries, but I'll be very surprised if Richmond don't put in a far more competitive effort....well I expect them to and hope they will at least. (Then again I didn't expect them to be flooged last week)

I'm not mentioning the W word this week. ;)

I would say absolutely anything is possible this week - suddenly a respectable loss like we were enjoying until Terry said "no more respectable losses" is looking really good again ;D!

Wounded Tiger - we will be limping around with no ticker - heads down after the Power surge to a few goals in front in the 1st quarter.

What are we on our third or fourth bypass?

When what we really need is a complete heart transplant!

tambling, simmonds and schulz out.....gee this could get ugly

for me:

Out: Simmonds, Tambling, Schulz (inj) and King, Jackson, Hyde (om)

In: Pattison, Polo, Riewoldt, Kingsley, Tivendale, Krakouer

yep i know - KK, GT and AK back in....im not a fan of this i can assure you ...but we should reward their effort in the 2s and basically we need some seasoned bodies out there for the kids sake or its going to be all over by 1/4 time again.

White McGuane Bowden
JON Polak Raines
Tivendale Newman Deledio
Riewoldt Hughes Richo
Krakouer Kingsley Meyer

R. Pattison, Polo , Foley

I. Johnson, Tuck, Pettifer, Moore

....wont win but we might be competitive.

* Get Newman, Foley, Polo and Tuck on the ball...with richo, krakouer and sugar aswell...guys who actually arent scared of getting the pill. Polo to run with one of the Bourgoynes.

* Richo to roam HF - on ball.

* Kingsley at FF to try and give us a leading target ::)

* Riewoldt to play as a HF...may even go back for a bit aswell

* Jacko, King out - havent shown me anything...and its time Hydey got dropped...way too unaccountable...few flashy goals means jack.

*Andy K back in to try and give us some tackling pressure...id wanna get him on the ball a bit aswell.

...it doesnt look great but it SHOULD be a more accountable unit this week.

The 2007 season for the RFC so far has looked like a scene taken from 'The Wizard Of Oz'

A side of scarecrows, tinmen and cowardly lions (read Tigers), trudging down the yellow brick road in hope of obtaining their desires (brains, hearts and courage). ::)

I'm hoping that the players have never really lost those desires and rise to the challenge from this weekend onwards!

Congrats on your 1999th post Grayman, hurry up for 2000, you're not getting any younger :hihi

Seriously I think you're the oldest suffering Tiger here so you've seen all the mightiest floggings the club has ever inflicted on its supporters - was this one the worst?

Lucky bastard has seen plenty of flags too, though! ;)

Yeah, CMT. this would rank as possibly the worst I can remember. thre was one day in the rain at Moorabbin against St. Kilda once, a long time ago, when we only kicked a couple of goals for the whole game. But yes, I did see the fearless Jack Dyer play...would not know how to take a backward step. Gee, he hit hard. For those too young to know, he is credited with being the one to introduce the drop punt.

Suppose I am more philosophical about the loss on Sunday, as I have some great memories to remind me of the glory days. 1980 still sticks in my mind. Thanks for the congrats, BTW, did not realise my posting count. And I'm not THAT old really. Still very fit and still play golf and bowls.
