PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just browsing the AFL stats and saw that Kayne is leading the AFL in marks with Lade and Whitnall. This got me thinking of how far Kayne has improved as a footballer. Some might saw it is a gradual improvement, he was more then reasonable last year and 31 goals was a handy return.

But this year he has gone up another cog and would be a walkup to any side going around. It was one of the more dramatic improvements I have ever seen in a footballer. At certain stages in his first three years I was convinced he would never make the grade, ever.

A couple of things I want to ask PRE's,
1) What do they put this improvement down to?
2) Can anyone think of any other player's that have improved so far and shocked you?

I think Kayne's comes from improving his fitness, getting stronger and most importantly having a decent coach. How big a role does TW play in all of this? Pretty big me thinks.

Vast improvement over who has been teaching Kayne his trade the previous years.
