Bits and pieces

Its pretty simple. At this time of year (and many others) clubs tell you what they want you to hear. Ie everything is Rosy (no pun intended) because its about creating interest, selling membership and pumping up their chances.

Who is going to come out and say the sky is falling at this time of year. (Clawster Maybe ;D)

But as T74 says, read it, assess it and make your on judgements, but no need to shoot the messenger. Like it or lump it, most supporters are dying to read any information they can get there hands on at this time of year. Whether that information is fact or fiction, is up to the reader to decide what they believe and what they don't.

I can't believe so much debate because one poster has a dummy spit and wants to take his bad mood out on someone. That same poster has been banned in several usernames for spamming the boards and attention seeking tantrums. While he's banned he spams my e-mail reporting threads, criticising posts etc even though he's not part of the site. He's even done that when he left the site of his own accord once.

A couple of people send me training info and personal observations. That isn't where the info on this thread came from but what concerns me is those people say they'd post on the forum for everyone to read but it would only result in bagging and critcism. I understand what they mean now.

It seems to me that only one person had issues with the thread yet it's resulted in all this kerfuffle.

Maybe we all need to take heed of this fella's message :dontfeedthetroll

Probably just easier to post the info and don't reply to any critics Rosy
 
Geez, all this arguing over bits n pieces of preseason info.
I thought the whole concept of the PRE forum and any other similar forum was for the posting, sharing and discussing of anything to do with footy and the club of your choice.

Or in other words " GOSSIP."
Some of the gossip is dead accurate and some is just wishfull dreamin or *smile*. Half the fun is picking apart and discussing / arguing about aforementioned gossip.
Hopefully without being to insulting or derogatry ( Did I just type that? ) to the originator of the gossip.
 
I agree willo...the comments were so ridiculous I actually thought they were just tongue in cheek when I replied. I should have reacted differently. The comment about feeding trolls was directed to myself as much as anyone. To continually give someone chances to cop the same harassment time after time, both on the forum and behind the scenes, does wear thin though.

Criticism is fine by me seeing it's an opinion forum. It would be boring if we all agreed on everything but I do understand why some people don't bother to post info about the club too.
