Bowden disgrace.

Agree Craig, Joel was bad on ocassions tonight.

He is starting to take the *smile* out of the opposition with his swift left and right monouvers, it reminds of Chikovski's Swan Lake Ballet.

You've gotten yourself mixed up. Chikovski was no composer, he was the bloke who invented the Chiko Roll.

I'm still willing to bet my left one he stars against the Swannies on Saturday night and make a mockery of this thread.

I'll take that bet tim.  ;D

But please don't post me the proof of you paying up...a med cert from Doc Larkins will be fine.  ;)

Rest easy Rayzor...all bets are off now!

Why dont people let this thread fade into the deepest bowls of PRE - honestly the past is the past now so lets look to the future of this great club. One game and we want to continually argue about what was right and wrong on the night. FWS let it go  ::)
because over the yrs every time we have had a chance to win some credibility in important games its been your bowdens tivendales gaspars chaffeyys etc etc etc whoo have played weak insipid stupid unaccountable footy and made everyone look like mugs.either collectively or individually.

this has happened so often in the past its not funny and will continue to happen in high stakes pressure games because so many of our so called better senior players lack the mental toughness.

on one of the few occasions this year bowden had to become defensive and curb his attacking style he took the soft option and continued to chase meaningless kicks and the team got badly hurt because of it.this is the type of thing all of our seniors are guilty of it seems they just dont think and just dont learn.

did we really miss a soft unaccountable kick gatherer tonight i would say no. what we lacked was a big strong kdp who could destroy the ball in the air.

Yes. Exactly. With the new kick-in rule meaning there is more than one match ball these days, surely it wouldn't matter too much if we destroyed one of them?

We missed him 2nite. No one looked confident taking the "kick ins".His brother missed him too.

I was shocked that Tivendale was kicking in so often.

What the?

And on the defense last night, tell me why our defenders, just stand there looking at at a one on one contest in the goal face instead of helping out with a big fist over the top for a rush behind, every other side does this exept us consistantly! >:(

So that means that Joel had no impact on the wins over Adelaide, Collingwood and Geelong (At Kardinia) or weren't they important games for gaining some credibility.

Having Joel in the team tonight would not have changed the result.   I'm happy for both Bowdens to play, but take them for what they are - both good at playing loose and running it out.   They cannot play tight checking lock down defence - period!

When Patrick Bowden kicked the ball into the grand stand, I was sure he was trying to pass the ball to Joel.

Patrick seemed lost without Joel.  No passing to Joel and joel passing it back to Patrick.

My dream team certainly suffered without Joel.

Claw has totally lost it now.

Oh hang on, he lost it some time ago.

Patrick Bowden's turn to be very ordinary this week. He was hopelessly out-muscled by a first gamer ::), was continually not even in the same postcode as his opponent on the lead & made some horrible errors. When Joel is not playing, this guy should be kept away from the backline.
