Joel Bowden looks stale in the backline at the moment, in fact I reckon he's been a bit selfish. He's absolutely got no accountability for his opponent, all he wants to do is run off his opponent and get the easy handball recieve or a mark in space. The problem is, he doesn't get back on his forward opponent, and when we turn it over at the rate we do, then his opponent is free. Today it was Roughead and then Franklin getting easy goals with Bowden nowhere to be seen. It annoys me to see after the goal has been scored Bowden all over his opponent, yet within a few seconds he's off doing his own thing.
Bowden's a kick chaser, he had 30 possessions today and I reckon 15 - 20 of them were sideways or backwards. He's had no effect on the game and his opponents, and I'm guessing here, kicked atleast 6 goals on him
