Bowden wins community award

Great stuff. Says good things about the Tigers when it ranks against all the other clubs in the comp. Brilliant stuff Joel! :clap

Great stuff Joel, you do yourself and the club proud.
Well done Tiger, this is up there with the best award you can receive. :clap

Joel spends every Tuesday at the North Richmond Housing Estate. It is a diverse community that houses up to 5000 people from 46 different countries who speak 29 languages. The majority of these people come from Vietnamese and Timorese backgrounds, many of which arriving in Australia as refugees and asylum seekers.

Joel’s program has provided a positive and athletic role model for 600 young people aged 15 years and under. The program allows Joel and other Richmond players to interact with the children in a safe environment and encourage active living through participation in sport and recreational activities.

The above is a snippet from the AFL website, I'm sure they won't mind it being posted as Joel's work deserves to be recognised here.
