In the world of Laff, everything is bleak and wrong at Tigerland... If only they would listen to the oracles and prophets who know the true path.

And of course the preachers of Armageddon never let a fact or two get in the way of their story.

1. We didn't trade Ottens; he was gone. It was a question of scrambing together the best we could from a position of weakness.

2. The deal involving Ottens delivered us Troy Simmonds. I reckon we did just fine.

3. Ottens was the best big man on the ground in the GF by far. I doubt Port Adelaide supporters are consoling themselves on how their Lade and Brogan and midfielders beat/nullified him.

4. Ottens almost single handedly got Geelong INTO the GF. His game against Collingwood was sensational.

5. Ottens was one of the reasons we got to third in 2001.

I was dirty on Ottens for leaving (and still am). But I hope I can applaud a great player when he gets over his injuries and delivers.

Finally a Tiger supporter talks the truth without letting emotional crap get in the way.

Ottens IMO was BOG and should have been awarded the Norm Smith Medal. Had a great couple of games - Prelim and Grand Finals - to end the season.......

I have no real problem with the deal we did. I too am dirty on Doughnut. Has nothing to do with Geelong. I don't feel like applauding Ottens so I won't, my problem I can live with that. One thing Cats winning the GF has done for me is make me realise just how much I don't care about Ottens or Geelong. It's been good for me on a personal level. There are positives in everything.

Wow so before that you thought you might have had an inkling of feeling for Ottens and Geelong?

Granted Ottens played a good GF, i think King was worth more to Geelong on the day and the best big man on the ground. I'm not saying that to take gloss off Ottens, i'm just saying that because that's the way i saw it.

Ottens efforts in the Preliminary final on the other hand were sensational. All these Collingwood fans who think it could have been a different result had Josh Fraser played are kidding themselves. Fraser is footy's version of a flat track bully. He'll play a blinder against a young under developed ruckman that has the build of an indian muntjac, but a big physical ruckman will towel him up every time as badly as Ottens toweled up the other two miopics the Pies delt up on the night.

Yep, It was all based around hate, death and Buses at break-neck speeds running over the odd leg or two. Now I can safely say I just don't give a *smile*. Much healthier I think.
