What is it with this site?
There is a fascination with all things Hawthorn, and Brad Ottens gets discussed as much as any player still on the Richmond List. is it an inferiority thing, or do we just love to wallow in self pity about the ones that got away?
Tell that to a seven year old with stars in his eyes-this kid lived and breathed Ottens-number 5 on the back, posters on walls, signatures on everything he could get his hands on. I dont wallow in self pity-I just get angry at the dollar driven
mind set (appaerntly $350,000 per year) that drove Brad ottens away from RFC

Yes trading the donut was a very good move but we coulda got more outta this trade if we were wiser ...

craig, you are seriously far too early in making this statement. I'm not saying in the long run you will not be proved right, but you cannot make this judgement based on anything you have seen yet. You have to let our recruits mature both physically and mentally before you can completely write them and / or the team strategy off.

I cannot believe how little patience some of the people here have, and don't give me any 26 year crap. We've all been through it me included and we are all completely fed up with mediocrity. You may not agree with the strategy but you must give it time to fail. If you really want the strategy to fail because it does not agree with some personal opinion you may have then that is an entirely different issue that is best left off this forum (IMHO). You cannot rush it, succeed or fail, it will take time, and more than 1 year and 3 games.

According to the AFL web site B. Ottens (154 Ranking points) best on ground in the Cats 1 point loss to WB.

Well I've watched the second half of this game and heard the commentators raving about the big O but all I saw was a bloke getting a lot of uselss tap outs and about 2 or 3 soft uncontested marks. I can only assume he was much better in the first half.

Well I watched the game he was totally (and I mean totally) ineffectual.
The possessions he picked up were cheap and his disposal shocking.
I thought the commentators on Fox were saying he shouldn't have been on the ground because he looked so underdone.
So I'm not sure how the website drew that conclusion? :-\

Who cares. Geelong lost again and that's good for football :hihi

ABC didnt touch dear old Brad in the votes...i missed the bests so dont know if he made it in there.
Perhaps he had a good day in the ruck, thats why he got the high ranking score... ???

At one stage he had the ball on the wing and his team mate was in the centre of the ground Otto tried to pass it to him and missed him by about 20 metres...... :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
well done Cats :P
