Didn't Gaddy Loin chops Smelbourne team get pick 3 for Chip Frawdley? Was outrageous when compared to the compo that Hawforn got for losing Flanklin.
I should point out, we don't make the rules, however, rules are rules until changed. Compo pick in first round, bring it on!

AFL house will make sure the commission or whoever decides the compo make sure it’s a second round.
Is there any commentary at the moment about Daniher supposedly being worth two top 10 picks? Who would be stupid enough to do that. The bloke is cooked.

So we get Tom Lynch for free and they whinge - This is whats wrong with free agency they said last year, the top clubs get stronger as they can sign the best players
Fast forward 12 months and we have a player that we would prefer to keep poached from us so we should get some compo and now - This is whats wrong with free agency.
But but I thought what was wrong with free agency was when the big clubs can sign who they want, but when one of the big clubs lose their players to FA its also whats wrong with FA!! Can't have it both ways!!
There is either free agency or there isn't, they need to go and complain to the players association who wanted this in the first place.
Also, Buddy left the Hawks in 2013 just after the hawks had won the minor premiership and had also won the GF. There was no outcry then about the best team getting a 1st round pick, in fact the narrative in the media was that the pick 19 they got wasn't enough!!

Slight correction, me missed out on a Conca Compo pick due to our Lynch FA acquisition.
Did it twice, didn’t we? Once to Cartoon (they got Kreuzer and we got Cotchin) then Egobourne (they got Scully AND Trengove and we got Martin). Karma is such a *smile*.
Tiger John Ralph is stating it as fact that we will get pick 20. (Which we should). But I recall he also stated as fact that Toby Greene would get off on appeal.
For goodness sakes I hope the AFL don't listen to these cretins.
Just have a look at the player we're losing, he's a 1st round draft pick, is 26 has played 176 games, is a 2 times Premiership Player, was 3 times nominated for the best under 22 year old team in the AFL, was runner up for our B&F & is entering into the Prime of his career. He is of exceptional character.
We're not talking about a bloke who MAY become a good player, he already IS a very good player, who the RFC would rather NOT lose.
Just have a look at the player we're losing, he's a 1st round draft pick, is 26 has played 176 games, is a 2 times Premiership Player, was 3 times nominated for the best under 22 year old team in the AFL, was runner up for our B&F & is entering into the Prime of his career. He is of exceptional character.

If the Swans are stupid to pay Essendon 2 first round picks for a player who has barely played in 2 years, well what can i say.
Essendon will try and drive a hard bargain with their list manager whatever his name is but the Swans should hold firm.
At the end of the day Daniher is contracted so Essendon may have to stick with liability still.
Swans should stand firm.
I saw that idiot Barrett going on about it would be all wrong if we got a 1st round compo for Brando despite the current AFL rules
