Brent Hartigan answers some questions from PREnders [Merged]

Both injuries and Wallace never gave him the chance to cement his spot in the team after he severly tore his hamstring against the dogs a few years back.

Shame.
He showed promise.
When?

Pre Wallace mainly.
In 2004 when he won a Rising Star nomination & showed plenty of ability as a tough young player determined to break the lines. He was an exciting prospect like many of our current youngsters.

Brent also showed plenty early in '05 & '06 and was regular among our best before injuries and some interesting(tough) selection choices seem to seal his fate.

At his best Hartigan is at least as capable of anything Raines is IMO.
He can break the lines and has plenty of grunt when he's up. His inside 50s were a regular feature of his game off HB.

Unfortunately it seems his disposal has dropped away further due to injury and lack of confidence.
No doubt he has had far less opportunity to prove himself at senior level under TW than many of our other players.
Even his last comeback was remarkably brief(1 game) for a player that had worked hard to force his way back into the seniors.
Like a few others I question the way he's been developed under the current regime.

The past two years his biggest enemy has probably been the number of similiar type players at Richmond ie White, Hyde, Raines, Howat, Meyer, Newman.

He is only 22 I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him get picked up by another team if he's delisted.
There are a few I'd like to see go before Harts.

omg just read it - he is a sweetheart! he definitly deserves 1 more year coz i rekon he's worth it :yellowno dont let him go tezza!!

wonder if he has a gf!? ;)

Yeah let's keep him cause he's a sweetheart. We don't need players who can actually play football at this club as long as they're nice. :hihi

This week's 'McRae Report' in the EOTT states he's suffered another injury (foot) & not likely to play again this season...

Did anyone ask him where he is gonna play at next year 8)

Should be delisted plenty of heart but no skill and Connors, Casserly etc better options.
