Brett Burton.....Is this the year?

Dont know about Burton-BUT-some of those Crows youngsters have been impressive pre season-eg Chris Knights-who has been their best twice and in the top 6 for the Crows last week. An Eastern Ranges boy who went at 56 in the 2004 draft.
Probably slipped under the radar a bit with knee problems in 2004-dont even know if he went to the draft camp? Does anyone know??

yep.....had the Crows and the Saints pencilled in for the main contenders for the flag........Was just a little worried abotu the Crows firepower(or lack of it........like the Weagles last year)

Tell ya what though.....I KNOW ya cant read too much into pre-season.....But To me...the form of Brett Burton tells me he could be in for a BIG YEAR,which may HAVE A BIG SAY AT the business end....Whtyas reckon?

For the life of me, Nitro, I can't understand why this bloke isn't one of the absolute guns of the comp. I've even wandered onto a Crow forum a couple of years back and posed that very question to them out of my own curiosity. Burton seems to have the perfect physique and natural agility to totally dominate the game, and doesn't appear to lack courage and ball skills.

But the almost unanimous response I got from the Crow fans who knew far more about him than I was that the major thing standing in the way of Brett Burton is Brett Burton. Apparently he's a complete nuffie.
