I am new to this forum, but have followed the TIGERS for over 63 years and read PRE regularly. I hear all the talk about TW having to go, but the way I see it a lot of the blame rests with our assistant coaches and especially BR. I attended a dinner nearly 5 years ago where TW spoke about what a bad problem we had with our skills and that BR was the best teacher of skills in the AFL. He said that BR was going to get the team out on the training track at 6am each morning until our skills got to a level where we were at the highest level in the AFL.

Well, what a failure that has been. Our foot skills are terrible, our handball is never used to attack, and as we all know we don't know how to tackle. What has BR brought to the club from the Western Bulldogs? NOTHING.... I can't see what he has done, and the few times I have heard him talk, he is VERY uninspiring. He has been an assistant coach to TW all his life and NO other club has tried to pick him up. He is NEVER going to coach the TIGES, so the time has come for him to GO. Let's make sure all our assistant coaches can either teach OR develop into a senior coach. BR is not a teacher NOR will he be a senior coach. BYe Bye BR

BR was an assistant at Melbourne I think, and possibly one other club whilst TW was in the media.

IF BR was at another club (Melbourne??) while TR was in the media, they certainly didn't hold on to him for long. If he was a great teacher of skills he would still be with them.

Royal is coaching the forwards this year, having coached the midfield in 08. The forwards were the best of a bad bunch  (def, midfield, forwards, rucks) on Thursday.

Meanwhile the midfield went backwards massively from their 08 performance.

Straw man.

We have bigger problems than Brian Royal and to lay blame at his feet is ridiculous.

But if TW leaves at year end, no doubt that Royal and probably King would also move on.

Yeah, another brilliant kick of the football is our midfield coach this year, Water Closet.

Yeah I agree..... we need to improve our skills - we all know that. So who the hell do we have who is going to teach them????
