I find it absolutely ridiculous that the Lions will be playing 13 games in Brisbane/Gold Coast next season. With a team that has been in 3 of the last 4 grand finals and they get benefits with extra games at home.

What a joke.

And lets not forget last week Aka sooking about their draw this season.......Excuse mr akermanis, your team has been so dominant the last 4 years....Stop SOOKING!

Just goes to show that the Brisbane General Management are doing a great job.

Hopefully We'll see the Tigers play 14 games at the MCG in a season very soon.

Massive difference between playing up North and the G phanto.Would love to have a ground to our very own that we can truely call an home ground advantage.

I couldn't agree more. All the top leagues around the world, from soccer to baseball and everything in between, have in common the fact that each team has it's own home ground. Not only does this provide an actual advantage, but crowds of 30,000 or so look and sound far better in a stadium of around that capacity as opposed to the same number in the G or Dome. Why the VFL/AFL ever wanted to do away with the suburban grounds, instead of spending the money to improve them, is beyond me.

Sadly Disco, the AFL thought it was essential to appeal to the 'soccer mums' and coporates.

Sanitised stadium, plastic food, comfy seats and beer in plastic cups is now the order of the day .

Give me -standing at the Western Oval with a cold vb. can hanging *smile* on Simon Beasley anyday. ;D

LMAO evo, that sounds like great fun.

Yep, remember the cold VB on the hill behind the goals - great days when men were men, women were women AND footballers kicked the ball!

That's the idea waratahtiger, the better the avatar, the less it matters what I actually post.

And the more votes you get in the monthly PRE awards. Sheeeesh!

BBC, surely PRE'ders base their votes on the quality of the posts, not the size of the poster's avatar's you know whats.
