Brown, Coughlan & Tuck

That is a good summary.
Tuck at least wins the ball a lot - including today.
Brown didn't look like getting it.
Cogs gets it occasionally - then butchers it.

What did he do with it though?

Not enough.
But it's what put's him in that 50/50 category - compared to Coghlan and Brown.

But he never does much with it T. Thats why I think we should trade him.

Watch the first quarter, just the last five minutes. You'll see why Shane Tuck got dropped.

Tuck stars on Pendlebury at the centre square bounce after the Leon Davis goal (his first). Collingwood have kicked the last four or five and are flying. Tuck starts two metres off Pendlebury. Now we are talking about grown men getting hundred's of thousands of dollars to play at the elite level. The runner shouldn't have to jog out and tell everyone in the guts we are getting flogged so man up. That should be a given. But Tuck gives him space and gives Pendlebury the two things that he thrives on, time and space. Ball goes up, Pendles gets a running start, Tuck slips doesn't have touch and Pendles waltzes through with two bounces and does a very Tuck like floater that Polo marks. Polo kicks to Tuck who is free on the rebound. Tuck is clear no pressure at all and shoots a handball to a running player and misses by two meters. Ball fumbles out of bounds. Throw in. Pendlebury gets another running start and clears the ball forward. And Tuck is ball watching.

Sure he does get the ball but when is not hurting you one he gets it and gets ripped apart by his man.

Sadly, Brown is finished - the injuries have caught up. Such a pity as when fit he was a class above. Hopefully, he will make the call himself. As for Cogs he's too slow, Tucky too errant.
It was a remarkable effort for both Brown and Cogs to even be playing again after their horrendous run with injury but the time has come... the list needs to be culled.

As I have been banging on for a couple of years now Tuck is foul. I believe he had 90% turnovers today can someone verify that because that is amazing. Gotta love his centre clearance work but he does it for the opposition.

I would keep Brown as he is skillful.

Listening to Triple M and they quoted some horrible figures.

From memory Cogs was seven turnovers from nine kicks.
Riewoldt was six from nine.
They quoted a few others and finished with a team efficiency rate of 56%.

Will be interesting to see the stats in the paper.
