PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

While I would not have picked Ben Cousins to play at Richmond I congratulate the club on taking the brave decision and look forward to shaking Ben's hand when I get to meet him.

I also wish him all the very best with the rest of his footy career at Tigerland.

When Richmond swapped our beloved Billy Barrot for dual Brownlow medalist Ian Stewart the uproar at Tigerland was significant, probably more significant than yesterday's uproar. Stewart soon became a favourite at Tigerland and went on to win his 3rd Brownlow in 1971, the last Richmond player to win one.

Ian Stewart was the last player to be selected by Richmond with a Brownlow hanging from his neck.

Let's hope that Ben Cousins can do the same in another successful Richmond era.
