The new footyvoice website will launch on Tuesday 21 March. In 2005, footyvoice had expert opinion from leading former players Mick McGuane and Mark Harvey, and from former tribunal member Rick Lewis. This year, footyvoice continues to innovate, with the introduction of footyvoiceTV.
Footyvoice is going to be very different this year. The site has been rebuilt and will have a very different approach. We all know there are always a billion articles churned out each week so this year footyvoice won't focus on them.
Instead they'll have footyvoicetv. Browny will be our tv star, and a few other clubs like Port, Crows, Pies will have a player featured too.
Nathan will be filmed each week and will give his opnions on his form, the team, footy issues and non-footy aspects of his life.
Footyvoice have also got a tipping competition again. Their tipping software was riddled with problems last year and thankfully they've given it the flick this year and will have the user-friendly OxTips instead.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and if a PREnder isn't in the top 3 there will also be a prize for the top tipper from here.
The official 2006 Punt Road End / footyvoice tipping competition
The 06 competition is powered by Oztips, so it's free to enter, and easy to input and check tips. The best part...PRE tippers can compete against each other and against members of other fan sites for bragging rights.
1st prize: $400 betting voucher from TAB and a Sherrin footy signed by a star player from the Tigers
2nd prize: $250 betting voucher from TAB and $300 worth of high-fashion sports luggage
3rd prize: $150 betting voucher from TAB and $200 worth of high-fashion sports luggage
Here's how to enter:
1. Reply to this post if you're keen to join
2. Visit www.footyvoice.com.au on or after Tuesday 21 March and click on the 'FOOTY TIPPING' link.
3. Click on the 'Register here' link and register your details - create a tipping name with 'PRE' at the end of it (eg. rosyePRE) so that we can distinguish PRE people from everyone else).
4. Click on 'Join a Competition' link
5. Enter OzTips Comp# 60559 and password: footyfan
6. Start tipping
It would be great if as many PREnders registering as possible because if we can get at least 50 join up and put a banner on PRE footyvoice will be paying our hosting costs.
Another bonus of registering is that although all the tv clips are free you only have access to one a week if you're not registered.
