There's a new Browny interview on footyvoiceTV

The gist of what was said for those without sound

  • Game was a nail biter.  Lucas kicked 3 in a row and Browny thought they looked the goods
  • We had a play on at all costs atmosphere all night and Jon's good run to kick the point that put us in front was exactly the way we wanted to play.
  • Dreamtime is a great concept. Great to see Michael Long and Cathy Freeman putting something back into aboriginal/indigenous players.  They make up only 2% of the population yet 10% of AFL players
  • Polo amazing first game.  Couldn't have scripted it any better.  He kicked the goal to put us back on level pegging.  His first goal took a massive Shane Warne leg break and rolled through.  28 touches, ran hard, tackled hard, did everything right.  Where do you go from there?  Hopefully up because he's going to be a great player for the RFC
  • Andrew Raines is a very good looking young fellow.  He's got everything you could want as a male :o ;D
  • Stated running again this week after 2 weeks in the pool.  About to start football work at training.  Leg is feeling good.  He could have played last week or this week but if the leg gets sore it undoes some of the good work.  Best thing is to rest so he can play and train week after week and get the best out of himself
  • Boys are *smile*-a-hoop at the moment.
  • Sydney are getting their game going.  We played them pre-season and they were below thier best but they were very confident in their game against Brisbane
  • There will be key battles at either end of the ground this week.  Barry Hall is a big job for whoever gets him.  Their forward line is very good, sets up well. O'Loughlin great.  Ryan O'Keefe slips under the radar a bit with the other 2 big names but he hurts you whenever he gets the ball
  • Down the other end Leo Barry will probably match up on Ricky
  • Pettifer might kick straight so we don't have to worry about 2 point nail biters.  Told Petts any time he wants to talk to him for tips on goal kicking feel free buddy
  • Spoke about Mother's Day and said how wonderful Mum's are.  They always tell you how good you were even though you know you were terrible. (Something I can certainly relate to.  Our kids are always great to us. Dear little cherubs )

Also stated that our young players have good skill and poise and he is looking forward to getting back the Batman and Robin combination so that the youngsters can 'hit us on the tit'. Beautiful work Browny! :rofl

I laughed at that the first time I listened 8ball but somehow missed it when I listened again to jot down the notes.  Funny stuff.  ;D

Who did this interview? Asked him about Polo's '23' touches and young Disco raines jnr ::) Given the choice of who he'd rather sit next to on a flight to London out of Sam Newman or Jason Dunstall he said definately not Jason as he's a pig of a man and you wouldn't want to sit next to an orangutan for 24 hours :hihi
