No Ground breaking news

Used to play tennis as a junior and had to chose between Tennis and Football at 15.
Would prefer an AFL premiership than a Grand Slam

Leg going well but thought he was not advanced as he had to be hoped a few months ago.
Trains Monday and Friday and Wednesday does gym, swim or boxing rather than train with the boys.
Will not play in NAB cup but hopes to be ready by Round One with a couple of practice matches before hand.

Says Richmond will have a serious crack at the NAB Cup and not just focus on the young players for that competition.
Was asked about the draftees says JON has good skills but unlikely to play this year still very light or Hughes wont play but Casserley may slot in as a HBF.
Did not mention other players except Richo looking good and should play until 2009 as per the Newspaper article during the week.
Brown said he shouldn't have any problems with his leg and should be as normal with same strength and distance in his kicking as it was before the injury. Was not concerned when Darcy broke down again as it was a different injury.
That was basically it.

Should that be shouldn't?

Thanks mk. Interesting that our emphasis is on winning rather than playing the kids in the pre-season comp.

I always say :blah it's only pre-season and don't care about the results....until the game is actually on then I hate losing.

These are the results so far of a poll on the main page of PRE

What do you think is most important with the pre-season competion?

Win at all costs 2 (3%)
Give the kids experience 26 (45%)
Experiment with game plan 24 (42%)
Bomb out and do your own thing 2 (3%)
Show off a new jumper 3 (5%)

I wouldn't mind winning just so we don't have to play on rockhard country grounds.

I believe due to our draw this season our hand is forced to only try and win.  We need every opportunity to expose ourselves as we wont have that much chance till after com games.  It will be viatl to win at least two games to start membership rolling.

Also, I for one don't want a coach who takes any game lightly.  We still haven't established a winning culture, and we need to instill that into the club for the kids to truely benefit.

I'd actually be happy if they brought him back a bit later i.e. it would just put me at ease re: giving him a really thorough preparation and the confidence of knowing that he's top notch... 100% ready... without any minor doubts. No need to rush a superstar back, I reckon, just because its round 1.

totally agree, our first half of the season is very taxing so it would be good if he came back even as late as the middle of the year. That would suit me fine, but i dont know if it would him.

Im sure the club would enjoy the $200,000 we would get for winning
