Browny-Tool of the Week / Cousins??? finger? [Merged]

Because we get most of our info from the media we tend to believe most of what they say. It is very hard to be aware of the way in which the media manipulates the truth unless you have been the target or close by.

The edits that occur within "current affairs" interviews are a clear give away that the truth is being "massaged".

If you see a "brain explosion" you can be sure that there was provocation but you can also be sure you will not see the provocation because it was not newsworthy or "in the public interest".

Why do we need to see footage from within the rooms 90 minutes before a game?

"BEN Cousins has been fined $10,000, with $7500 suspended for 12 months, for giving Channel 10's camera the bird on Saturday night. Cousins was fined $5000 by Richmond, with half of it suspended for 12 months, and had a further $5000 suspended fine slapped on him by the AFL".

What about a fine for Channel 10 for showing it?
After all it was not on the field it was in the dressing room 90 minutes before the game.

It appears they have permission to film and use the footage.

True.
Im sure if it was a first year player they probably wouldnt have shown it.

I agree, and I don't think they needed to show it, but when a player with such a history of bucking the system deliberately approached a camera to do that it's not the least bit surprising it was used.

So a 5k fine in all reality. Consistent with when it's been done on the field (I'm sure Browny copped a 5k fine for doing it to the crowd at TD one night when playing at the Dogs)
