Just wondering, if Browny, after his broken leg, is able to be his champion self again.
Horrific injury, doubts on leg to endure, confidence, nearly12mths out of game.
Will he still be able to inspire us with his regular herculean feats during the game, or will he just be a seviceable player. I beleive he is our best player, but will he still have the ability to kill our opposition like he did?

Voss won 3 flags and played in 4 grand finals after his broken leg while Cisse won the Champions League with Liverpool less than 6 mths after he broke his

So why not

But if Browny plays at least half the games next season and makes a solid contribution in most games, I will be happy.

Just having him out there regardless of how he plays will be great for the players and the supporters.

Browny is just as much richmond as Richo imo.

I think Brownie will be back bigger and better than before. Perhaps not next year or but definately the following year and yes I agree that just having hiim on the field will be an enormous boost to the other players....BTW he has done a fantastic job with his recovery to be at the stage he is. I heard he trained by himself whilst eveyone else was on holidays. :clap

Voss is the most recent guy I can remember doing this, but he had a horrific break and came back better than ever before. Brownie seems to be very committed and there's no reason why he can't come back just as good if not better. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be able to do this in 2006, but look out for 2007.

Well Brownie was in my dream last night, playing on the HBF (??)... Brownie, Deledio and Newman ran it through the midfield (handballing to each other, running through the lines) and Deledio hit the chest of Shultzie for a goal.

Brown looked more than quick enough in my dream, so I'm sure he'll be fine next year :P

For what it's worth, IMO he won't be as damaging in the midfield this season coming because he'll spend 95% of his time in the forward line, and I'm guessing will kick 50-60 goals. Once his fitness builds up will spend more time midfield where he'll carve them up in 2007.

I do like Browny as much as the next man but I have to take issue with this. As great as he is, he is an import. Richo will finish a Richmond-only player and is also a second-generation Tiger. No contest IMO.

Hopefully Browniy will regain his former flair but i would be happy for Browny to go softly softly for 06 and have him red hot for 07 with no complications and full strength and dexterity in his leg.
Take your time Browny and get it 100% before thinking about coming back.

I think he will be a very good player for us in 2006 and a bloody champion from 2007 onward. It will take time to recover confidence, fitness and a bit longer to regain instinctive (first option) kicking from both sides of the body!
