PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Considering the start we have had the coaching questions are going to be asked. Alot of what I saw on Thursday points to the coaching focus lacking a defensive strategy. Richmond have often not been able to cope with teams putting the ball carrier under intense pressure and when this occurs the team often just unravels and ends up getting smashed. How a team with so much to play for can lack the intensity that they did on Thursday beggars belief. As much as I had hoped that TW would change the culture at Richmond and create a hard nosed respected football side it appears he may have failed. I know it is only one round and hope it is an abberation but the signs were not good and have appeared too regularly over the past 4 years.
If TW is not able to turn it around what do you think of Nathan Buckley as a replacement? I think he ticks lots of boxes and is very impressive in all his media roles. To me he is one that could inspire, has played the game recently, was hard at it, immaculate skills & preparation and is a deep thinker about the game. Interested to hear others thoughts.
