This is the biggest farce in football!!!!

I think if a Collingwood footballer came out on the field with a Gun and shot someone, they would find he had nothing to answer for!!

Simmonds went for the same thing, Baker in the same game didn't even connect and went for week but Buckley can do it and its fine!!!

surely someone in the media must stand up and say something!!!! :veryupset :veryupset :veryupset :veryupset :veryupset :veryupset :veryupset

Funny snippet in the HUN today...some stupid Collingwood supporter telling everyone that Collingwood don't get it easy at the Tribunal, and pointed at cases such as Jason Cloke and Phil Carman. Now, while I can't remember Clokes and I haven't seen Carman's, I reckon anyone dumb enough to do something that might be reportable the week before a GF deserves to be rubbed out...

Never mind the fact that the Tribunal should judge each case on its own merits, because Collingwood had some players rubbed out for the big game, they should get an easier run. Gawd, they ARE dumb, those supporters, eh?

I think Buck's case proves that the AFL Tribunal appear to think the same way... ;)

It wasn't even a 'jumper punch', it was a straight out forearm to the head (behind play) with at least medium impact.

Total points = 2-3 weeks

But unlike other cases where you romove points for a good record, early plea, etc... you always have to add the CFC (Eddie) points adjustment system, which means you will always be clear to play!

How the :help did Buckley get off and not get charged? I forgot hes got Fast Eddie he must have given him a hand.

Farcical!

Personally I think that sort of petty stuff should never go to the tribunal, but so many cases this year of exactly that rubbing players out. Collingwood-Buckley-final next week, should we really have expected any other result?

I have my contacts flying above the suburb called Collingwood in a stealth bomber...only problem is....the pilots are pro-lifers.....who see so many targets to bomb and just REFUSE to deal out death needlessly......Im crosss...... >:(

c'mon people, get serious. there was nothing in it. stop looking through anti black and white colored glasses

More nothing in it than many others this year.

Disgrace.

He is protected out on the field and now by the review panel.

One sided.

I remember on two occassions the Glove use to play on him (Duncan Kellaway) who use touch him up a bit and on a number of occassions give him a bath.

One time and this was at the G Buckley out of frustration hit Duncan and i remember Sheehan form the Hun obsolutely amased that he wasnt sited or rubbed out.

Anyone remember this?

There appears to be one rule for some and one rule for the average players of the league

During the CH9 telecast of this the game the commentators quickly went into damage control with the "there's nothing for Bcukley to worry about with this one" which I thought at the time was a big call considering the prior cases but sure enough they were right...things that make you go..hhmmmm.

I am so glad that there's no more footy for CH9.

And in related news, Gary Pert is likely to take on a high level position (can't remember which one) with CH9 here in Melbourne. Now, who did he play for again? :-X

(just kidding, he's probably the best for the job...and all that)

Remember it well. Not much doubt that some players have points in the bank, KB back in 1982 was a good example.
