Coz Richo won't be there in 5 years, Schulz might. We won't be any sort of force within at least 5 years time.

The problem you have if you aim to play finals next year and keep Richo and others on the list is that you compromise your rebuild and development as team selection will be based on choosing the best team then and there in order to soley make the finals (and Richo would still be in our best no doubt). You will not be selecting the team that will best serve you in 4-5 years time. Our mind set at team selection meetings should soley be based on choosing players in order to develop them for the future - not winning games now. This is something the club can't get it's head around as it wants to rebuild and have instant success which for a club in our situation is impossible.

Could Richo possibly help in the devlopment of the young forwards by taking one of the better defenders (or 2) to the goal square with him?

I agree with you about looking 4 or 5 years forward, but can't see that Schulz is a better option, especially if there's a chance another team might trade for him.

hughes must stay he can play we just have not given him a chance i say give him 6 or 7 in row in full forward and then if he does not stand up then he goes other wise he stays

You have to be kidding right? :rofl

Hughes can't even get a game in the coburg ones. How the hell is he going to get a spot in Richmond's best 22?
He is a talent forward who is extremely lazy. Struggles to do the simple team things. It is those lacking 'team things' that will see him delist before this years National draft.

Must agree...we've all really wanted him to succeed, but struggling in the Coburg 2s in his 3rd year is not a ringing endorsement for a call up to the main gig

He doesn't actually struggle in the coburg 2's, he usually does pretty well. He can simply rely on strength and talent to get a kick\mark, and doesn't have to do much more. The real issue is, he's a bit like schulz with his efforts. The difference is, Hughes fails to make those efforts for Coburg 1's.

Doubt Bucks would coach a financial basket case like the Roos

Buckley coaching the Roos. I cant see it happening but I am sure Brayshaw will do all he can to make it happen. Could the Roos afford him??
