He is smug, self involved and self serving. It is time to retire to the media and hang out with all those other ex-footballers who overstate what they achieved in their football career.
Buckley is the most overrated footballer I have seen. He rarely turned a game on its head. When the going gets tough Buckley goes missing.
Tend to agree CT.

What a crock. He consistantly, virtually every week, got 30+ possession throughout his career despite always being considered Collingwood's best player and the target of the oppositions best defensive midfielder every week. How many other players have averaged that kind of possession count with heavy tags every week?
When the going gets tough, Buckley goes missing? He won a Norm Smith in a losing GF? Has anyone else done that since Ablett in '89?
That's the problem Jayfox you, like many others, are overcome with Buckley's # of possessions and his so called best on ground in a losing Grand Final - the medal meaningless because (1) he didn't do enough to win the Grand Final and (2) he didn't deserve the medal anyway, someone must have felt sorry for him.
Many, many of Buckley's possessions come from him demanding the ball from his team mate who is only metres away and Buckley is in no better position - it seems his team mates feel obliged to give it to him, because well, it is Buckley after all...and well if his team-mate doesn't give it to him, then if looks could kill.
