He is smug, self involved and self serving. It is time to retire to the media and hang out with all those other ex-footballers who overstate what they achieved in their football career.

Buckley is the most overrated footballer I have seen. He rarely turned a game on its head. When the going gets tough Buckley goes missing.

Tend to agree CT.

What a crock. He consistantly, virtually every week, got 30+ possession throughout his career despite always being considered Collingwood's best player and the target of the oppositions best defensive midfielder every week. How many other players have averaged that kind of possession count with heavy tags every week?

When the going gets tough, Buckley goes missing? He won a Norm Smith in a losing GF? Has anyone else done that since Ablett in '89?

That's the problem Jayfox you, like many others, are overcome with Buckley's # of possessions and his so called best on ground in a losing Grand Final - the medal meaningless because (1) he didn't do enough to win the Grand Final and (2) he didn't deserve the medal anyway, someone must have felt sorry for him.

Many, many of Buckley's possessions come from him demanding the ball from his team mate who is only metres away and Buckley is in no better position - it seems his team mates feel obliged to give it to him, because well, it is Buckley after all...and well if his team-mate doesn't give it to him, then if looks could kill.

Wait. Let me get a pen and paper....that....thats something.

Let me get this, he only got a kick because his team mates where threatened if they never gave him the ball?

If Buckley was on my team, I'd let him have the ball...of course they'd look for him and give him the ball, even if he was stuck in a worse position, because he is talented enough to get out of that position.

"Buckley wraps up touch 46 by giving Scott Burns......the look of death"

Do you know why he managed to get those 25 plus touches a game? Becuase when everyone was *smile* and couldnt go anymore, he was that fit that he made it to every contest possible! If you arent as fit as Buckley, you wont ever get that 25-30 possesion game.

Buckley's greatest attribute was his consistency but he was rarely able to take a game by the scruff of the neck and win it off his own boot as Voss, Hird and Carey have done.

9 pages coz we like hanging *smile* on figjam.
No player in the AFL would be more worthy of sitting on the sidelines injured and watching his team win a flag without him than Figgy :rotfl :rotfl >:D.
Vossy should have won the Normie instead of Figjam, they'd both had good games but when things got tight and the game had to be locked up it was Voss that stepped up and dragged Figjams old team over the line.

Hey just on Collingwood, did ya year that 85% of Collingwood fans have sex in the shower and that the other 15% haven't been to jail yet?

Would Eddie go to jail for Bucks? Or with him? How'd it be if they were Wheatleyed? ;D
