Buckley is performing well on TV and radio, much better than Voss.

I would not be surprised if he does a Lyon. Wants to be a coach, but the media dollars are so great he keeps saying "maybe next contract", but finds out after 5-10 years its too late and he enjoys the good life.

Coaching is high stress and high risk, and if you are living a cushy and wealthy life talking about the game in a low risk role, its a lot to give up.

Buckley will do to any club/employer as he did to the Bears. As soon as a gig comes up at Scumwood he will be jumping to join them again.

As good as he could be I wouldnt want him at Richmond.

Yeah but blokes like Buckley don't get to where they are by taking the soft "cushy" option.

Hopefully setting himself to take over from Terry in 2010!

Buckley is a class act. Why the hell would he destroy his future by coaching richmond? He wouldn't coach us in a million years.

Lyon was and is afraid to put his gonads on the line and actually coach a team and possibly fail
now that everyone has said he will/would be a good coach

IMO he wouldn't

Lyon gives the imprssion he is astute but he knows he isn't that's why he won't walk the walk. Buckley will coach because he kows he is astute just like we all know it. Geez listening to Lyon last week on the radio he never had one good word to say about Richmond evn if the only good thing was Cotch. Cotch is the best player I have seen since Richo's debut and you can just see he has the goods in his first few games and Lyon = Zero praise. Buckley loves the Cotch = Brains

Lyon is the biggest sook I've seen in the media in a while. When he was co- hosting Morning glory he'd start crying when someone challenged him. He has no balls.

Voss comes across as a simpleton, he doesn't speak very well. Let him go to the GC team and watch him *smile* it up.

Buckley is the best of the lot IMO. Very intelligent, speaks well and is a good communicator. Any team that get's his will do well I think.

And then there's The Ox.... :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Danny Frawley still has a job in the media.

That's because he is Bristle and JB's fool.
When the boys on MMM talk to Spud, they are really saying 'make me laugh fool'.
And like a true Gump, Spud responds with some sparkling footy comments and gives everyone a good hearty chuckle.

That is a tad harsh DHN. I seem to recall Buckley telling anyone who would listen that he wanted to play for the Pies. The Bears drafted him, and he was prepared to sit out of footy until the chance to go to Collingwood came along.

The Bears came up with a compromise, that if he played a season for them, they would then trade him to the Pies if that is what he wanted. They took the chance on convincing him to stay. He stayed true to his desire to go to Collingwood. I can respect that.

I do agree though. I am not sure he would be a good coach for us.

Has anyone on the phones ever confronted Spud and asked him about the state he left the club in? I don't listen to MMM that much, but I would be curious to hear how he would mumble his way out of that.

So true, and beautiful to see the ultimate irony of him going down to the Lions in two GFs. Mercenary. Hopefully will lead the Pies to a few more Runners Up medals
