I cant understand why there are so many people in the media and the public and in particuar on this board, that continue to blow wind up Buckleys arse.
Can someone please articulate to me why the hell we want this bloke as coach.
Buckley has not coached before, until taking a role as an under 16's coach, he has not been an assistant coach, he has done little in the way of professional develoment aside from a 10 day stint OS recently, he has never played in a successful premiership team, lets not forget he was at the Bears when they were at the bottom and moved to collingwood when they were crap and remained at the bootmo for many years.
In fact, the only success the collingwood team tasted was when he was extremely injury prone and out for lenghty periods.
I ask again, why the hell do we want this man to coach our club.
If we want youth, we can still mix that with the right coaching experience, al la Hardwick.
If we want real success and proven ability to get runs on the board, we should be chasing Sheedy or Chocco or Malthouse.
Someone please explain why Buckley is touted to be on 800K a year.
