For more than nearly 2 decades we,ve been through some highs and very many lows.theories are espoused and solutions are thrown into the mix quicker tham barrels of V.B.drunk at a booze up...
So,whats the go with the club we love so dearly?
here is my spin...
there is too much information...that is....the players are being told too much what to do with the ball and its all overload and rocket science
lets get back to basics play instinctive footy.....improvise...be creative.....
play for the jumper and get some passion happening....
learn to despise hate and loathe and want to devour, mutilate and dismember the opposition.
Thats what got us winning flags in the first place....
Forget about the technical purists who want a
n execution of a clinical game plan...bugger that
straight down the guts and who dares win style of game plan
YES thats what I want...... >:D

But the last time we played like that we made the finals with Northey!....

Hey wait a minute....I think you're onto something... :clap :clap :clap

But what about the other 40 possessions per goal that has been required in the past? ;D

i dont care what anyone says knights is reaping what sheedy sowed. 98% of the players in essendons seniors were taken in sheedys time.
essendon were always going to have a down period under sheedy sooner or later. the recruiting staff hasnt changed most of the personell havent changed this time around it was going to take time i have no doubt what soever sheedy would have them playing just as well as knights his record says so. i can see why there was some bitterness when sheedy was pushed he knew what hed started.

Maybe maybe not they're certainly playing a different game plan under Knights.

I hate to say it, But I've been enjoying them too.

Especially Davey, He's defensive pressure is unbelievable.
The opposition just panic when he's closing in............Looks like he scoots over the ground.

pretty similar to pagan and ratten IMO, the difference being that judd came there after pagan had gone. carlton this year were seen in the eyes of every captain to be playin finals because of obviously an fast improving list of players. i cant possibly think of any other coach who wouldve done anything better wit carlton after what elliot cost that club, and who ended up picking up the pieces and dealing wit rebuilding a list without any National Draft Picks, pagan. once that period was over they began a rebuild with NDP and by the time the list was about to gain strength, pagan got sacked and ratten got in there, implemented his game plan and built on top of the foundations which pagan had started and depending on results, reap the benifits.

i also think knights has obv implemented his own style of coaching which is attacking and exiting, he's getting the most out of his young players and they have trust in the strategies he's put to them but sheedy has laid the foundations for him, he;s mearly making the most of it. funny that hardwick thought the list was shot :hmm
