I am not sure how old the info on the RFC website are but it seems there are some major improvements in size at Tigerland according to the details in the Record.

all in Kg's OLD NEW

Will Thursfield - 76 85 Also gained 1cm height ???

I think there i some good gains there but I suppose it depends on how old the website info is
 
Puting on bulk muscle can actualy increase hight also, i read this somwhere anyone confirm?

i suppose if you can put 1cm bulk muscle on the sole of your foot :P

only three of those players have put on weight significantly from last yr.
edwards put on 5kg hes still awfully skinny. collins 6kg he to is still awfully skinny. and graham 4kg. the rest have stayed the same or put on 1 to 2 kg. one tambling has lost 2kg if the figures are correct.

Like a lot of fellow supporters this is pet topic that drives me nuts / concerns me also.

Yet we have to be fair to a lot of these kids, we are recruiting the wrong types to begin with IF we wanted a team who the majority of had strong frames / bit of weight behind them for contests.

Furthermore, it's not just bulk, in fact it is more about mental application / killer instinct / will to compete. THIS is where we are truly lacking. Take Ottens for example, when he played for us he used to frustrate me as a big man with the ability to really make his presence felt, who never did. The first game he plays against us, he was one of best on ground and laid around 9 tackles.

As much as people faulted him, one thing you could never take away from Krakouer was he was the best tackler at our club despite his size. That was a sad indictment of where our side is at on the physicality stakes.

All said and done though, it is good some of the key players like Thursfield and Edwards etc are putting on weight. Yet most will do that from just being in the system, it's their minds we have to hone as much as their bodies.

Look at collingwood, their kids chase, tackle, sheperd and take every opportunity to make their physical presence known because Malthouse demands it of them mercilessly.

We must be the same, it's not just about bulk.

By the end of the year their gains will be cut by half, which is still reasonable. Thats after a full pre season in the gym, once the season starts they will tend to spend far less time in the gym.

With those figures, they dont need too much more bulking up to do. Thats a steady weight, plus alot of those guys mentioned are still young so their bodies may have not even filled out yet.

I herd that if you work out you shrink!!! :P

No i dont beleive so, but its true, i had a mate and he was 5ft nothing and fat then i dnt see him for a while and he was thin but solid. Said hed been working out and now he was 5ft 1inch. Now, i know that dosent sound like much but im getting kingy up to 1000 push ups and throwing him in the ruck! ;)
