Bulldogs axe 6

I thought Whyman went alright, from the little I saw of him at North Ballarat and for North itself.

He's a bit older though...right?

Who's Cameron er ?

F a u l k n e r ??

Port Adelaide were all over him when he went to Footscray. Can't remember the champion he was likened to by Port recruiters. Wanganeen? Gary Ablett sr? Peter Moore? IIRC Port even made a play for him at the very next off-season.

They all make some shocking blues.

Hmm Urch looks ok if he can get his body right. And Whymans ok too.

I've often mentioned Urch as a possibility. He's often been injured (yes I know that's not a good sign!) but he could be that "Josh Hunt" type off the back line. Whyman I also thought goes ok (better than Krakouer!) but he's now been cut by both Hawthorn and the Roos.

I beleive it was Andrew McLeod he was likened to.

Thanks, Ripplestick. Exactly. Any wonder I couldn't remember. It's not just that I'm getting old. F a u l k n e r is nothing like McLeod. ;D

whyman was playing good footy so he's probably gone for other reasons, urch and mcconnel are duds

Whyman is about 24.
He plays well at VFL level but a 24 year old FP should be doing more at AFL level and they already have Matt Campbell, Eddie Sansbury and Lindsay Thomas for that roll.

I think the interesting one is Ben Hughes. He was delisted by the roos after spending only one year on the clubs rookie list. He played for North Ballarat but they mainly had him playing HF/Wing. He is 192cms and 93kgs. I read a post from phantom that said we were trying to get him down to Coburg before the roos delisted him

Kangaroos gave up a bit for young McConnel didn't they?

Something like this

Pick 13 (Hurn) and Pick 29 (McKinley)

for

Pick 18 (Bailey on-traded to hawks for Hay) and McConnell

Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd just put in here that the Roos delisted McConnell, Urch and Whyman. Green, Archer and of course Hay have retired.

Was Green delisted or retired, he would only be 25 wouldn't he.

is mconnell worth looking at? no idea how his form has been this year i must admit.
I wouldnt have though the Roos would delist him so soon after giving up a fair bit for him. He had been there for 2 years but missed a bit with a shoulder reco and had glandular feever when he got to the club. He played 4 games for them in 2006 and averaged 17 disposals.
