afl.com.au's Matt Burgan is on SEN talking about the draft for the next 2 hours.

He said Kingsley has not put his name up for the National Draft...................interesting.

Kingsley will go to Richmond via the PSD on a one year deal.
The only way it won't happen is if Roos, Hawks or Bombers pick him up prior to our pick.
If you don't want him, get onto these opposition clubs websites and talk him up ;D.

Interesting.... Im not really fussed if we get Kingsley or not.. i think he will give us some depth and i trust Wallace and co with their decisions.. If we do get him expect him to kick 7 in round 1!!

What else did the Burger have to say? I hear he went through the rounds....who does he have in line for us?

He is still on. He is on till 9. Up to about pick 40 now. He is pretty much repeating his notes from his burgatron on the net.

Or perhaps it'll be like last year where he kicked 8 goals in his first game and then 2 goals total in his next 8 matches before being sent packing. :P

yeah maybe so...but he was the cats leading goal kicker in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005...and he isnt a 1st or 2nd forward like he was being played at Geelong... IMO he would play on a flank much like pettifer and take the 3rd or 4th best backman. That causes some headaches....the guy can play i dont know why everyone hates him that much even though he had a poor 2006...i understand that he isnt a 'youth policy' recruit....but you need a blend and with Stafford, Chaffey and Chub all gone...that takes some experience away from the club and KK would let Cleve Hughes take more time to develop. Wallace isnt going to play him over Cleve if Cleve is ready....

Im not the biggest fan but for nothing i dont really care to be honest...id welcome him down to punt road for sure.

My mail is the same applies to Jake King, but Roos and Ess are keen as well.

Well soon enough see I suppose.

Well now the Bombers are outa the way (Mal Michael). Couldn't see Hawks going that route after committing to so much youth, thought they do miss a genuine big foward. Surely the Roos have been well an truly burnt with Hay to go that way again for a while. It's looking entirely plausible >:(

Hope Jake comes to us. He is a little small though, not sure what role he would play at AFL level.

Jake King looked pretty good at Coburg all year, and could turn out like Howat for us this year.
But we probably won't go him (rookie - yes) if we go 2 midfielders with our first 2 picks, which could easily happen.
Then again, if Luenberger slips to 13 ??? ;) :D
