I work at Funfields which is an outdoor family fun park in Whittlesea. We are having a Fundraiser on Saturday 21st. February 2009 with all proceeds going to the Bushfire Appeal. We have some great auction items with one that should be of interest to Tiger supporters. We are auctioning off a day at the footy with the Flea. The prize will include tickets to the game, entry to the rooms to watch the boys warm up. You will then watch the game with Flea and players not selected in the senior sqaud. They usually sit in the old coaches box in the Southern Stand and you will be privvy to their discussions about the game/tactics etc. After the game you will go to the rooms and watch the players warm down and hopefully belt out the best theme song in the AFL. Lunch will be provided and drinks and nibbles post match with players in attendance. To top off a fantastic experience you will also recieve a signed jumper. Please come along and help us raise money for this great cause. The Funfields website address is www.funfields.com.au or contact John Verga on 0418 137383 GO TIGERS

Sounds like a briliiant day and I'm happy to see the RFC do things like this. really doesn't cost the club much but the value of the day to a member/supporter really is priceless.

Can anyone clarify ...I thought the authorities wanted everyone to stay away from Bushfire affected areas?
Also, will there be other items to bid on besides that particular package? I expect that one will run into the thousands and we aren't all multi millionaires.

Funfields is located on Plenty Rd. just before the Whittlesea township, so access to the park is not affected. Entry to the Park includes Unlimited Rides ALL Day on all our attractions including The Toboggan Slide, Go Karts, mini golf, electric bumper boats and waterslides. Click on this link for details of pricing http://www.funfields.com.au/index.php?sectionID=945&pageID=959. All our gate proceeds, not just profit, will be going to the appeal so you will be helping out just by attending. We will also be having a Sausage Sizzle, and some roving entertainment. Other auction items include a signed Collingwood and Carlton jumper, family passes to Funfields and whatever else we manage to get our hands on in the next couple of days.

I have heard the description, of a day with Flea and the boys, at a Club 80 function during December, sounded very exciting and went for a song, worth much more.
