Cameron and Jason Cloke not required by pies [Merged]

Look,
For me, regardless of how the two compare to each other, if the Tiges are trying to set a particular standard of excellence amongst our junior recruits, I wouldn't have either one of them on our list.

Ditto Ditto Ditto - we cant be serious in our forward thinking and then turn around and engage either of these two who will not fit into our future plans.

Just wondering, if everyone passed on Cam Cloke in Trade period and the draft, would he be worth a rookie spot? Might be handy as a somewhat afl ready backup ruckman if we had any injuries.

I've said all along that we would end up with a Cloke of some description and I hope I am wrong! As has been mentioned ad infinitum if we are moving to a more running, skilled backline (and a side as a whole) then we have no need for a Cloke.

No thanks.

Would Jason be at least usefull playing that role he did a few years ago where he came over the pack (3rd man) & spoiled, which would bring the ball to ground to our runners out of defence in Raines,Deledio,Polo etc ?

Must admit we are quite useless in the one on one duels down back in the key post & his style of coming over the top helping out could create some run ! Just a thought

Both too slow with mediocre skills. If there are 2 players who are the opposite of the mould TW is after these are it.

I saw Jason play in a Collingwood intra club game during the pre season. He was best on ground by a country mile. He played ruck rover. He actually has a big engine. Very fit. Not super quick, but can actually run all day. He was bowling blokes over right left and centre.

If someone picks him up, they might want to consider giving him a run on the ball and see if he can play a big bodied, crash and bang type role because there’s little hope for him down back imo.

thats one thing we're lacking, big bodied players... but i didn't know he was only 189cm.

worth taking a look at...

NO! NO! NO! x 100,000,000

These Bogans could easily fit into the cast of Deliverance.
No David Cloke, Julie or the brats. Nothing to offer that can't be "got" elsewhere.
What won't be "got" elsewhere is the Cloke persona.
The only hole they would fill would be the one caused by their genetic Cloke shaped butt as it hits the turf.

WTF?

its a footy club not the bloody Prague chamber orchestra. If we put in a no bogan policy we would narrow the pool down a fair bit.

Time for me to roll out the old classic Beegees song about the Clokes again:

(To the tune of "I started a joke")

I drafted a Cloke, which started the whole world crying,
But I didnt see that the joke was on me, oh no.

I drafted another Cloke, which started the whole world laughing,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was on me.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
